Training
Training Contract:
Fees:
Training - $650/month paid in advance (owner responsible for vet, farrier, medications…); training contract must be signed and on file; Payment is due within 10 days of the billing date or a 10% late fee will be charged.
Lessons - $35; 2 lessons/month are included with each months training. These lessons may be used that month only and cannot be carried over. Additional lessons are available for riders with horses in training for $30.00/lesson.
Mileage - .45/ mile for hauling to shows, vet… A .20/mile travel fee per horse will be charged when owners haul their own horses to the show. Airfare, if required, is the responsibility of the owner.
Show Expenses –
Day fee - $25/day for horses in training; $50/day for horses not currently in training. Owner responsible for stalls, shavings, entry fees… Day fees will be charged from the day we leave for a show until the day we return. Any pre-paid stall reservations, shavings, or entries are the owner’s responsibility.
Hotel, Meals & Tack Stall – cost to be split evenly among customers
Banding- $25 Braiding- $55 (Owners are welcome to do their own banding/braiding to avoid this fee.)
Show clip -$30 per horse; Maintenance clip &/or wash - $10 per horse (Owners are welcome to clip & wash their own horse to avoid this fee.)
Futurity Winnings – winnings over the entry fee to be split 50/50 between owner and Sonny & Hillery Yager
Sales Commission – 10% commission on horse sales where we have involvement in the sale
Approval – All meals, airfare, hotel and any other travel or incidental expenses are the responsibility of the prospective buyer.
Board - $375/month as needed only.
Warning: Under Nebraska law an equine professional is not liabel for an injury of or death of a participant in any equine activity pursuant to this act. Sonny & Hillery Yager are not responsible for the injury of or death of any horse or person in our care. Care of the horse is left to our discretion. Owner accepts full risk & responsibility. All fees are non-refundable. There will be no refunds for horses taken out of training early. Please make checks payable to Hillery Yager.
